Not sure how many know about this new forum...not many for the looks of it...but then again, it hasn't really been made public yet...it was just posted on the old board by Admin...so if you don't pay attention to that thread, you'll never know about this board. I'm glad we finally figured things out here and have all our new posts at the beginning of the thread and don't have to search for all the new messages. I still like the old forum MUCH better though. Yes, the old forum is still up, still a few posting on there daily...wish we could just slide that one over to here on this new RR site...I don't think it's quite that easy though LOL...
Nov. is going OK so far...by the time we know it, we'll be wishing each other a happy new year LOL...goes by TOO fast!!
As for Mr. Captcha it's the words from old books, newspapers and old time radio shows that have been scanned by a computer, that the computer doesn't understand because of either misspellings or damage to the text...so in the Captcha box, there is one word that is complete nonsense and one word from the old books...the data is collected and each entry is analyzed to find out which word is the correct one and then they replace that word in the text of the online book. K, so there is your Mr. Captcha lesson for today! Here is a website that explains it...

But.......... you will be happy to know that the chance of me heading east sometime next summer has improved. Jeff canceled his annual Vegas dart trip for next year. We didn't have a single trick or treater show up at our door. Jeff took Garrett out and he came home with a huge haul of goodies. So now we have a ton of candy at the house.

I think this was the quietest Halloween I have ever seen...the economy must be hitting everyone very hard...I hardly saw any kids out and so many houses were not lit up. I have a feeling "Trick or Treating" is going to soon become a thing of the past.
Best part of my weekend? OK we know it was the Pats WIN against the Vikings!! I won't go into it since I already went off about it on the sports thread LOL...
Gonna get some housework done here, got laundry to do...then I don't know...

As for the spammers & such, Admin & team do a good job of keeping up with what's going on around here. It's pretty much their call as to what gets pulled or deemed as inappropriate. As aggravating as it may be, there have ALWAYS been spammers on every Redhead board (there are spammers everywhere for that matter)...going way back to the original board years ago and even on the SHML yahoo group(s). We pretty much just ignore them and they go away lol. Try not to let it bother you...if they know that it does, they'll keep doing it...

Hey, do you know a way to contact admin directly to get rid of these a-hole spammers that keep coming over here and infiltrating our blog space? Bad enough we have to put up with that shit over on FB. Last time I posted about it on Sammy's FB page they took care of it pretty quick, so I did that again for this latest round but this "JamarianO" or whetever his name is, is still popping up here. Can't do much about spammers on FB I guess, but I'll be damned if they are gonna start polluting this place. Sorry, guess I am kind of protective of the RedHead turf, as we all are. Thanks.

Happy Thursday! It's suppose to be a gorgeous day here in New England...going up to 75 today!! Last nice day...going back down to the 50's after this, so I think I'm gonna spend my day going to the park, enjoying the sun and taking a nice walk in the woods.
Don had his tooth extracted yesterday and is starting to feel better. Mom's home and is on the mend...so it's a GOOD day! And I read that it is national chocolate day today??? WOO HOO!! Think I'll indulge a little ;)

Well another Monday is upon us! Stayed up and watched the game last night! It was a nail biter and very glad we came out with a win! We have tickets for the Sun night game against Dallas in 2 wks so Katharin think about what we are going to wager! Just got back from the hospital and Mom has been taken out of ICU and in to a semi private room. The doc says she may even get to come home on Sunday!! She has her appetite back, ate a pretty big lunch considering she hasn't eaten anything lately, her sense of humor is back and she looks great!!
NOW we gotta fix Don...he thinks he's got either a fractured jaw, or dislocated jaw...he's in a lot of pain, so we'll be calling to get him seen. They say things come in 3's, I don't want to know what's next!

Hey gang! Happy Friday! And it IS a HAPPY Friday! Thanks for sending those good thoughts my friends, Mom made it through the surgery just fine and the doc says everything looks good now! Saw her last night and considering she just went through major surgery, she looks fantastic! I appreciate you girls more than you know!! I'll be off to the hospital again to see her in about an hour :)
LOL, ahhh Mr. Captcha... I saw a story about this...all these words we have to put in is for some guys book he's writing (I forget what it's about) but these are the words that the computer couldn't recognize or something like that and the words have to by typed in manually...so every time you type in those two little words, your helping to write this guys book. I'll have to look it up and let you know exactly what it's about.
