Sammy’s Tribute to Bob Weir
I thought long and hard about what to say or do for Bob’s celebration in San Francisco. To quote one of Bob’s other famous sayings as we walked to the stage to play some music together “Let’s take a long walk in the woods” – so I chose to show some of those highlights. You could easily say we went for a many walks together.
I will miss that.
RIP

New 2026 “Best of All Worlds Tour” Dates with Special Guest Rick Springfield
FOLLOWING TWO YEARS OF OVERWHELMING FAN DEMAND, ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAMER SAMMY HAGAR WILL RETURN THIS SUMMER WITH A SPECIAL LIMITED RUN OF HIS ACCLAIMED, TOP-GROSSING BEST OF ALL WORLDS TOUR.
Hagar will be joined by rock heavyweights and longtime bandmates Michael Anthony (bass, backing vocals), Joe Satriani (guitar), and Kenny Aronoff (drums). The tour launches June 13, 2026 in St. Louis, Hagar’s musical home away from home, and concludes June 27, 2026, at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Produced by Live Nation, the tour features special guest Rick Springfield.
“We’re celebrating the legacy of the music and bringing it to a whole new generation of fans!”
– Sammy
The 2026 tour reunites Hagar with the Best of All Worlds Band, featuring fellow Hall of Famer and original Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, 15-time GRAMMY® nominee and guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, and powerhouse drummer Kenny Aronoff. In addition, Greg Phillinganes, one of the most respected and accomplished keyboard artists in the world, is set to perform with the band on the tour. Collectively, Anthony, Satriani, and Aronoff have played together in nearly every phase of Hagar’s career—including Van Halen, Chickenfoot, and The Circle—so fans can expect a refreshed 2026 setlist drawing from some of the biggest rock anthems of the last four decades with hits including, “Finish What Ya Started,” “5150,” “Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy,” “Poundcake,” “Sexy Little Thing,” “One Way to Rock,” “Right Now,” “Summer Nights,” “Eagles Fly,” “Love Walks In,” “Encore, Thank You, Goodnight,” and more.
The newly announced shows continue the momentum of Hagar’s top-grossing 2024 Best of All Worlds Tour, his 2025 hit Las Vegas residency which returns to Dolby Live in Las Vegas beginning in March, and a summer UK tour in July.
The Best of All Worlds tour received universal raves from fans who’d been waiting 20 years to experience it live again, and critics who universally praised it.
“Hagar, alongside Anthony, made it clear that the tour was not just a performance but a ‘celebration’ of Van Halen’s enduring legacy.” – USA Today
“The “Van Hagar” period of Sammy Hagar’s career is still on top of the world.” – Las Vegas Review-Journal
“Sammy Hagar sounded ageless… Joe Satriani did a great job of channeling Eddie Van Halen (and more). The phrase ‘guitar hero’ is obviously overused, but Satriani more than lives up to the title.” – Arizona Republic
“Hagar and Anthony’s bond was palpable on stage… The crowd turned out in full force to hear Van Halen-era songs like ‘Right Now,’ ‘Best of Both Worlds,’ and ‘Why Can’t This Be Love,’ alongside Hagar’s solo classics. Their performance proved that age is just a number when the music is this good.” – Charlotte Observer
Joining them on the tour is rock legend Rick Springfield, the Grammy Award–winning artist who’s setlist packs 10 U.S. Top 10 singles, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “Love Somebody,” “Human Touch,” and “I’ve Done Everything for You,” written by Hagar. With more than 25 million records sold worldwide, Springfield remains one of the most enduring artists of his era. The tour reunites two longtime friends and collaborators whose connection spans more than four decades and extends beyond the music, with Hagar and Springfield also spirit partners in Beach Bar Rum.

RIP Bob Weir (1947 – 2026)
Bob and I were born just two days apart. A couple decades ago we made a deal we were going to live to be 100, then get together and decide if we were gonna take it any further. One of the last things I said to Bob was “Hey, I thought we had a deal.” His lack of response made me realize I was on my own on this one because Bob was already way past 100. He was 100 when I met him. Always the elder, the wise old soul. He had a pocket full of sayings that he used to simplify a conversation.
Am I gonna miss Bob? #YouBet
Did I love Bob like a brother? #Yup
Was bob a wonderful friend to have? #FuckinA
Did Bob and I have some good fun together? #MoreFunThanAFroginAGlassOfMilk
My love, heart and prayers, go out to the family and friends for the loss of this wonderful soul.
godspeed

SAMMY HAGAR On His Las Vegas Residency: ‘It’s A Dream Come True For An Elderly Rock Star That Still Wants To Perform’
Hagar, who turned 78 this past October, said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “It’s a dream come true for an elderly rock star that still wants to perform, because the hardest part of doing a tour and playing shows is not the show itself. It’s the packing up and moving into hotels, travel, travel, travel, running around. You get to the show late. Some days you don’t even have time to have a good meal. But with the residency, you get a good night’s sleep. They give you the best rooms on the planet. Great food — Vegas has got the best restaurants in the world; they’re all in Las Vegas now. And it’s just so much easier. You get to rehearse. I don’t know — to me, it’s a dream come true. It’s extending my touring life. Otherwise, I don’t know if I’d go on tour again and do a major tour. I mean, I could go out and do a few shows here and there. But anyway, Vegas, yes. Residency. Thank you.”
During his previous tours, Hagar gave thousands of dollars to local food banks in each city he visited. The Red Rocker had partnered with food banks during past tours and has seen firsthand the positive impact they have on those in need.
“I had an alcoholic father [who was] abusive to my mother, and we would always have to leave and sleep in the car,” Hagar explained to “The Story Is With Elex Michaelson”. “I mean, we were basically homeless because my mom didn’t have a job, she didn’t have an education. And then finally she left my dad for good when we were little. She raised four kids single-handedly. And we’d go out together into the grape vineyards and we’d pick grapes when it was apricot season up in Hemet… We’d go up there and camp and pick apricots — the whole family, the kids. We’d pick berries. It was a struggle, but my mom made it so much fun. We were always camping. All my friends were going. ‘We wanna come stay with you for a couple days. You guys are out camping, having a good time. But it was struggle.”
He continued: “Food banks really played a big role in my mom being able to survive and feed four kids, and especially on a holiday. With the holidays coming up, that’s why we’re talking about this. The food banks are so important. And you give a dollar and it feeds a couple of families. It’s really bang for the buck. So it’s my favorite way of giving back, because I remember waiting in line with my mom, all four of us kids. And it mattered.”

Sammy Hagar to Support the “100 Billion Meals Challenge” with a Special Performance
On December 16th, Sammy Hagar is bringing music and purpose together at the iHeart Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, with a special live performance shared with other top artists and fans worldwide via Zoom. The event supports the 100 Billion Meals Challenge, helping deliver life-saving meals to communities in need.
“I’ve been supporting food banks since 2009 and in every city I play I donate to the local food bank. For me this is a dream come true. Being able to join forces and go global with feeding people!” – Sammy Hagar
Global hunger has risen sharply in recent years, with acute hunger surging to over 730 million people following the pandemic. Additionally, over 30 million people are on the brink of famine.
